Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the SafeWeb application (“Service”) operated by Kidslox (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
SafeWeb provides a filtered web browser for children and a companion dashboard for parents. The Service includes DNS-based content filtering, custom parental controls, browsing monitoring, and related features.
3. Accounts and Registration
To use parent features, you must create an account via Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment terms, renewal, and cancellation are governed by the respective store’s policies. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your store account settings.
5. Child Device Usage
The child browser component does not require a separate account. By pairing a child device with your account, you consent to the collection of browsing data as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have parental authority over any child using the Service.
6. Content Filtering Disclaimer
While we strive to provide effective content filtering, no filtering solution is 100% accurate. We cannot guarantee that all inappropriate content will be blocked or that all appropriate content will be accessible. SafeWeb is a supplementary tool and does not replace parental supervision.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Company and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be communicated via the App or website with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Governing Law
Except for disputes that can be brought in small claims court, all disputes between you and us, including any dispute regarding this Agreement, shall be exclusively settled through binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) pursuant to the AAA’s then-current rules for commercial arbitration. Any such arbitration proceeding will be conducted solely in English.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware without regard to conflict of law principles. If the arbitration in this section provision is found unenforceable or not to apply for a given dispute, then the proceeding must be brought exclusively in a court of Delaware jurisdiction.
